Prime Minister Has Reduced the Intensity of Protests: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Islamabad (Web Desk) PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement to halt the construction of new canals.

After the announcement to take the matter of controversial canals to the CCI (Council of Common Interests) meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “We are thankful to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for listening to our concerns and making decisions. The Prime Minister has reduced the intensity of the protests.”

He further stated that no new canals will be built without mutual consent. “We will be able to address the concerns of the people. There were objections from three provinces regarding the Kalabagh Dam, and a mutual decision was made on that too. Today, we have only agreed that no new canals will be constructed.”
