Sanghar reviews security plan for peaceful Christmas celebrations
SANGHAR (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review security and administrative arrangements for ensuring peaceful and secure Christmas celebrations across the district.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the police, district administration, rescue services and other relevant departments. Addressing the participants, the deputy commissioner directed that foolproof security measures be ensured at churches, places of worship and other public venues during Christmas.
She instructed the police to enhance patrolling, maintain strict vigilance at entry and exit points, and keep a close watch on any suspicious activity. Emphasis was also placed on effective traffic management, emergency response mechanisms and the availability of medical facilities during the festive period.
Ms Javed reiterated that the protection of life and property of citizens remained the district administration’s top priority, adding that no negligence would be tolerated. She called for close coordination among all departments to ensure that Christmas was celebrated in a safe, peaceful and congenial environment.
The meeting concluded with officials reaffirming their commitment to implementing the security plan, after which a Christmas cake was cut to mark the occasion.
