NA-210 meeting held to finalise participation in Benazir Bhutto’s 18th death anniversary
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) An important meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and workers from National Assembly constituency NA-210 was held at Sanjar Junejo village near Tando Adam to finalise arrangements for participation in the 18th death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and to discuss organisational matters.
The meeting was presided over by MNA Salahuddin Junejo and attended by senior party leaders, including Javed Shoro, Rais Kashif Magsi, Asif Rind, Rais Hubdar Ali Zardari, Imran Dhamrah, Waqar Qadir Junejo, Malik Arif, Munwar Abro, Salim Abro, Rais Zahid Umrani, Dr Sharif Khasheli, Mir Muhammad Saand, Akhtar Nizamani, Zulfikar Zardari, Mehboob Alam and Sain Bux Laghari, along with a large number of party office-bearers, workers, elected representatives and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Junejo said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had laid down her life for democracy, the rights of the people and the supremacy of the Constitution, a sacrifice that would always be remembered in history. He said the struggle and sacrifices of the Bhutto family for the country and its people would continue to guide future generations.
He said the PPP had always raised its voice for the poor, labourers, farmers and other marginalised segments of society, and assured that all commitments made to the people of NA-210 would be fulfilled. He added that Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary was not merely a day of mourning but an occasion to renew commitment to her mission, ideology and the party’s bond with the people.
Mr Junejo said thousands of PPP workers from NA-210 would travel in large convoys to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to attend the anniversary gathering and pay tribute to the slain leader, reaffirming their commitment to democracy.
He also extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community, stating that the PPP stood by minorities and shared in their joys and sorrows.
