SGA Tando Adam Holds Memorial for Renowned Scholar and Leader Muhammad Khan Waryah
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Sand): The Tando Adam chapter of the Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) organized a memorial gathering at Shah Latif Municipal Library to honor the memory of the late Muhammad Khan Waryah, a distinguished scholar, literary figure, politician, and two-time president of the SGA Tando Adam chapter.
The event was presided over by SGA Central Chairman Rafiq Ahmed Jafri, while prominent guest Sher Muhammad Dero attended as the chief guest. Key SGA office-bearers, including Vice Chairman Khalid Ahmed Channa, and central leaders Peeral Khan Khoso, Javed Unar, Shahabuddin Shahani, Rafiq Ahmed Surhio, Muhammad Azam Memon, Amir Ahmed Junejo, and Farhad Solangi were also present. The gathering was attended by a large number of city dignitaries and citizens.
SGA Tando Adam Chapter President Ghulam Qadir Bhacho welcomed the participants. During the memorial, speakers highlighted the late Muhammad Khan Waryah’s extensive contributions to the academic, literary, political, and social spheres and paid rich tributes to his lifelong dedication to the promotion of Sindhi language, culture, and national consciousness.
Addressing the gathering, Rafiq Ahmed Jafri, Sher Muhammad Dero, and other speakers described Waryah as a strong voice of Sindh’s intellectual and literary movements. They noted that he transformed the SGA from merely an organization into a progressive intellectual movement, fostering awareness, integrity, and social responsibility among the youth. His principled life, simplicity, and selfless service were lauded as exemplary, with speakers remarking that such personalities emerge once in centuries.
The memorial also featured speeches by prominent political and literary figures, including Javed Shoro,Taj Muhammad Waryah, Chairman Municipal Committee Ghulam Murtaza Junejo, Central Secretary-General of Sindhi Adabi Sangat Noor Chakrani, Dodo Panhwar, Wafa Raza, Najeeb Mehran, Wadero Moosa Saand, Muhammad Ikhlaq Waryah, Mukhtiar Umrani, Dr. Bashir Khaskheli, Comrade Muhammad Khan Panhwar, Arif Hussain Khaskheli, Dr. Qambar Mari, Dr. Sharif Khoso, Niaz Hussain Mari, Taj Muhammad Mehr, and Mufti Muhammad Yaqub Magsi. They collectively hailed the late Waryah as a true son of Sindh and termed his contributions historic.
Concluding the ceremony, SGA Tando Adam General Secretary Zahid Hussain Memon thanked the attendees, while Haji Muhammad Hashim Khaskheli offered prayers for the late leader’s forgiveness and elevation in the hereafter.
