Robberies and thefts continue unabated in Tando Adam
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Incidents of robbery and theft have reportedly become routine in Tando Adam, heightening public concern over the deteriorating law and order situation.
In the latest incident, four armed men allegedly broke into a house in Gulzar Colony, within the limits of Tando Adam City police station, and held the residents hostage at gunpoint. According to the police, the suspects forced open cupboards and made off with 18 tolas of gold jewellery, 32 tolas of silver, cash amounting to Rs400,000 and three mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
A case has been registered at the City police station. Upon receiving information, SHO City Mohammad Hanif Mahar reached the spot and collected details of the incident. Police sources said the total value of the looted property is estimated to be over Rs10 million.
In a separate incident, a CD-70 motorcycle belonging to Abdullah Qambrani was stolen from near the busy Joharabad Phatak area by unknown thieves. The victim told media persons that he had parked his motorcycle briefly to buy poultry from a roadside stall and found it missing on his return. Despite efforts to trace it, the motorcycle could not be recovered, prompting him to lodge a N.C at the City police station.
Mr Qambrani said he is a poor labourer and relies heavily on his motorcycle for daily work. He appealed to the DSP Tando Adam and the SHO City to take immediate steps to trace the culprits and recover his motorcycle.
Residents have expressed serious concern over the rising crime rate and demanded effective measures to restore security in the city.
