Large Al-Quds Day rally held in Tando Adam in solidarity with Palestinians
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A large rally was taken out in Tando Adam on the occasion of Al-Quds Day by the Shia Ulema Council, with hundreds of participants including scholars, women and local residents expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
According to reports, the rally started from the Markazi Imambargah and concluded at the Tando Adam Press Club. The event was organised on the directives of the head of Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi.
A large number of religious scholars, leaders of the Shia Ulema Council, members of Dukhtaran-e-Khamenei, and women led by Mrs Akbar Chughtai of Madrasa Mahdia participated in the procession.
Participants carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans expressing solidarity with Palestinians and condemning Israel and the United States. Protesters also chanted slogans against both countries during the rally.
Addressing the gathering outside the press club, speakers including Akbar Hussain Chughtai, Allama Mashooq Ali Najfi, Allama Agha Abid Hussain Mehdvi, Rais Habib Khan Mari, Ghulam Muhammad Saand, Hussain Chughtai, Imran Karbalai, Abid Rasool Hashmi, Syed Fazal Hussain Shah, Syed Abid Ali Shah and others said that Al-Quds Day is observed worldwide to highlight the plight of the Palestinian people and to raise awareness about the injustices faced by them.
They said the ongoing violence and oppression in Palestine posed a serious threat to global peace and called on the international community and human rights organisations to take effective steps to stop human rights violations and the killing of innocent people in Palestine.
The speakers emphasised that the Palestinian people were continuing their struggle for freedom and fundamental rights.
Resolutions condemning Israel and the United States and expressing support for Palestinians were also presented on the occasion.
The rally concluded with prayers for the liberation of Palestine, unity among Muslims and peace and stability in the country.
