Woman protests against alleged domestic violence in Tando Adam

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A woman resident of Tando Adam staged a protest at the local press club against alleged domestic violence by her husband and appealed to the authorities for protection and justice.


According to reports, the woman, identified as Shazia, arrived at the press club along with her sister, Badshahzadi, and told journalists that her brothers had arranged her marriage three years ago with Ayaz Thehim, a resident of Karachi.


She alleged that after the marriage her husband repeatedly subjected her to physical abuse without justification and also pressured her to engage in inappropriate activities. She said that due to the alleged mistreatment she left her husband and is currently living at her sister’s house in Tando Adam.


Shazia further claimed that due to disputes with her husband, her brothers, identified as Mor and Mashooq, had also turned against her and were threatening to take away her eight-month-old son.


The woman said she feared for her safety and appealed to the relevant authorities to provide her protection and ensure justice.
