Majlis, mourning procession held in Tando Adam to mark martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The martyrdom anniversary of Ali ibn Abi Talib was observed with devotion and reverence in Tando Adam on the 21st of Ramazan, where mourning gatherings and a procession were organised with participation of a large number of mourners.
The main majlis was held at the central Azakhana Zahra (SA), where prominent religious scholars including Allama Ahmed Ali Qumi and Allama Syed Zamir Hussain Naqvi addressed the gathering. The speakers highlighted various aspects of the life of Hazrat Imam Ali (RA), particularly his justice, bravery and outstanding services to Islam.
The scholars said that Hazrat Imam Ali (RA) was a great leader who dedicated his entire life to the cause of truth, justice and service to humanity. They noted that he was not only a brave military commander but also a distinguished scholar, a just ruler and a man of exemplary moral character.
They added that Hazrat Imam Ali (RA) always stood by the oppressed and raised his voice against injustice. His martyrdom, they said, remains one of the most tragic events in Islamic history and teaches Muslims the values of patience, sacrifice and steadfastness in the path of truth.
During the procession, renowned noha reciter Syed Irfan Haider Rizvi, along with various mourning groups, performed noha recitations and chest-beating rituals while mourners participated with deep reverence.
Later, the central procession emerged from Azakhana Zahra (SA) and passed through designated routes before concluding at the central Imambargah Bari Par.
The district administration and police made foolproof security arrangements for the event. Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed and SSP Abid Baloch visited Tando Adam to review the procession arrangements and obtained a briefing from officials and Shia Ulema Council leader Akbar Hussain Chughtai.
Cleanliness and other civic facilities were also ensured along the procession routes. However, according to sources, no medical team or ambulance from the health department was present during the procession.
