Tando Adam Soldier Martyred After Balochistan Bomb Attack; Laid to Rest with Full Military Honours
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A Pakistan Army soldier from Tando Adam, Shahryar Chanda, son of Nisar Chanda, who was critically injured in a terrorist bomb attack in Balochistan, succumbed to his injuries and was laid to rest with full military honours in his hometown on Wednesday.
According to reports, terrorists targeted a military vehicle in Balochistan with an improvised explosive device (IED) a few days ago, resulting in the martyrdom of three soldiers on the spot, while soldier Shahryar Chanda sustained severe injuries. He was shifted to a hospital in Karachi, where he remained under treatment but could not survive due to the severity of his wounds.
Following his martyrdom, a funeral prayer was first held at Hub Check Post with military honours. Later, his body was brought to Tando Adam, where thousands of mourners gathered to pay their last respects. As the coffin arrived at his residence in Lohar Gali, the air was filled with chants of “Allahu Akbar” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad.”
The second funeral prayer was held at the old Tablighi Markaz, attended by Brigadier Kashif Chhor, Captain Hassan, PPP leader Javed Shoro, Municipal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Junejo, Vice Chairman Malik Zulfiqar Ali, DSP Mukhtiar Ali Memon, President of Anjuman-e-Tajiran Iqbal Bhatti, and a large number of political, social, and religious figures along with citizens.
The martyr was later laid to rest in the historic Haji Ismail Shah graveyard with full military protocol.
Speakers paid rich tributes to the martyred soldier, saying that the nation is proud of its brave sons who lay down their lives in the line of duty to protect Pakistan’s peace and sovereignty.
