Students Meet Assistant Commissioner Over Weekly Closure of Tando Adam Municipal Library
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Students studying at Shah Abdul Latif Municipal Library and citizens using the facility for reading met Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam, Hunain Tariq Shahani, to raise concerns over the library remaining closed three days a week.
The students informed the assistant commissioner that the weekly three-day closure was badly affecting their academic activities, particularly at a time when examinations were underway and many students had upcoming papers.
They said uninterrupted access to the library was essential for exam preparation, adding that candidates preparing for Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) were also facing serious difficulties due to the repeated closures.
The students urged the administration to review the decision of keeping the library closed for three days a week so they could continue their studies without disruption.
Responding to their concerns, Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani assured the students that he would immediately contact Municipal Corporation officials and take steps to ensure the library remained open on Fridays.
He said the issue of closure on Saturdays and Sundays due to official holidays would also be taken up with the relevant authorities for consideration.
He further stated that providing basic facilities to students using the library was the top priority of the taluka administration and all possible measures would be taken for the prompt resolution of their problems.
