Humorous Speech Contest Held During Five-Day Tando Adam Festival
Sanghar(Hasnain Ashiq Saand) As part of the ongoing five-day Jashn-e-Tando Adam, a humorous speech contest was held on the fourth day under the auspices of Halqa-e-Yaran-e-Sukhan, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of various educational institutions across the city.
The contest featured engaging and satirical topics including “Beauty Parlours and Today’s Woman,” “If Only I Were a Ghost” and “A Very Delicate Situation.” Students from primary level to girls’ and boys’ colleges delivered witty and thought-provoking speeches, keeping the audience entertained with laughter throughout the event.
According to the results, Farwa, daughter of Muhammad Ismail from The Praxis School, secured first position, followed by Suleman Hassan, son of Muhammad Hassan from Government New Aligarh College, who stood second. Ayesha, daughter of Habib from New Life School, clinched the third position. Cash prizes, trophies and certificates were awarded to the position holders.
Renowned poets Hamad-ur-Rehman Hadi and Joon Hassan Ali Qazilbash performed duties as judges for the competition. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by notable guests including Athar Shamsher, Prof Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum, senior journalist Ashiq Hussain Saand and Syed Iqbal Ali. All participating students were also given encouragement awards.
It may be noted that an All Pakistan Mushaira will be held today (Monday) as part of the festival, with prominent poets from across the country expected to participate.
