Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority officials inspect facilities in Sanghar

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Monitoring officers of the Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA), Dr Haresh Kumar Bachani and Dr Nighat Bashir, paid an official visit to Sanghar district to review the overall situation of laboratories and blood banks.

During the visit, the officials met Assistant Commissioner Sanghar Shafiq Ahmed Arisar, District Health Officer Dr Daulat Jamali and Civil Surgeon Dr Aftab Azam Sariwal, and held detailed discussions on blood transfusion services and regulatory compliance in the district.

Later, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Shafiq Ahmed Arisar and Dr Muhammad Farooq, the monitoring officers inspected several laboratories and blood banks in Sanghar. They examined blood transfusion systems, cleanliness standards, safety measures, blood storage arrangements and record-keeping practices.

The monitoring officers directed staff to strictly follow all prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) during blood collection, storage and transfusion to ensure the provision of safe and quality blood to patients. They also warned laboratory owners that strict legal action would be taken against any non-standard or illegal practices.
