One-day Family Health Fair Held in Tando Adam

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Population Welfare Department Sanghar organised a one-day free Family Health Fair at the RHSA Centre Tando Adam, offering essential maternal and child healthcare services to residents of the area. The camp was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam Hunain Tariq Shahani and District Population Welfare Officer (DPWO) Shahabuddin Memon.


The event was attended by Burj Consultant Sanghar Manager Ali Sher Dahri, Woman Medical Officer Dr. Naseem Mallah, PSI District Manager Zohaib Hassan, Councillor Nuzhat Javed, Ms. Shazia, Naveed Hisbani, Saleem Brohi, Akhtar Soomro and other officials.


According to organisers, the health fair provided permanent family planning procedures, LARC services, counselling, free surgeries and medicines to a large number of women. The medical team led by Dr. Naseem Mallah facilitated the services with the support of trained staff.


Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Shahani said that the rising population was creating serious social and economic challenges. He added that the district administration stood shoulder to shoulder with the Population Welfare Department in implementing the Sindh government’s policy. He noted that such free health fairs were greatly benefiting women and children in the underdeveloped areas surrounding Tando Adam.


DPWO Shahabuddin Memon said the purpose of the camp was to ensure access to essential maternal and child healthcare at the community level. He added that, on the instructions of Sindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho and Secretary Population Welfare Sindh Hafeezullah Abbasi, similar camps were being set up across remote areas of the district.


Other speakers, including Ali Sher Dahri, Dr. Naseem Mallah, Zohaib Hassan, Councillor Nuzhat Javed, Ms. Shazia, Naveed Hisbani, Saleem Brohi and Akhtar Soomro, also addressed the participants.
