Sanghar police arrest 12 suspects, seize over 2kg hashish, gutka packets and liquor in multiple raids
Sanghar (Hasnain Aashiq Saand) Police in Sanghar district have intensified their crackdown on drug peddlers and absconders, arresting 12 suspects and recovering 2.09 kilograms of hashish, hundreds of gutka packets and 40 litres of liquor during a series of operations across various police stations. A suspicious motorcycle was also impounded under preventive laws.
According to officials, Tando Adam SHO Shahab Akbar Kolachi arrested alleged drug dealer Ghulam Ali Makarani, recovering 1,500 grams of hashish from his possession. In a separate raid, police apprehended Mohammad Hassan Malokhani, Mohammad Asghar Jadgal, Ziaur Rehman and Suhail Rind, seizing 40 litres of liquor.
Sanghar SHO Mohammad Ali Zardari arrested absconder Fida Hussain, wanted in case No. 88/2025. In another action, police arrested drug peddler Babar Ali Chang and recovered 590 grams of hashish.
Khipro SHO Mohammad Sharif Jamali recovered 1,050 gutka packets from alleged dealer Arsalan Malik.
Meanwhile, Khahi SHO Muneer Ahmed Jatoi registered a separate case under the Foreigners Act (14) against suspect Mohammad Saleem Mari, already arrested in case No. 68/2025, for failing to produce his national identity card. Another Foreigners Act case was registered against murder suspect Lalo Bheel, booked in case No. 71/2025, for concealing his identity.
In Berani, SHO Asad Nawaz Khaskheli arrested Bejo Kolhi and seized 350 gutka packets, while SHO Amir Ali Shahani of Piryaloi arrested Raja Chandio with 100 gutka packets.
During snap checking, Sarhari SHO Waseem Ahmed Arbab impounded a suspicious motorcycle under Section 550 of the CrPC.
Police said the crackdown would continue to curb drugs and criminal activity in the district.
