Senior Journalist Ali Raza Rind stresses need to engage Baloch people to understand Balochistan issues

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Senior journalist Ali Raza Rind, who has extensively covered Chagai, Quetta and other parts of Balochistan for national and international media organisations, has said that the situation in Balochistan can only be understood by those familiar with the ground realities, stressing that bringing the Baloch people closer to the national mainstream has become the need of the hour.

He expressed these views while speaking to journalists during his visit to Tando Adam Press Club. On the occasion, Raees Gul Muhammad Marri, Mehrab Marri and Karim Marri were also present.

Mr Rind thanked the journalists for the warm welcome accorded to him at the press club and said he was overwhelmed by the respect and affection shown during his visit to Tando Adam.

Discussing the prevailing situation in Balochistan, he said practical and serious measures were required to restore peace and prevent the younger generation from falling into despair. He warned that educated youth deprived of opportunities and constructive guidance could easily be influenced by anti-state elements.

He further said the Baloch people were patriotic and dignified, and had always played a vital role in the country’s development, stability and defence.

Earlier, journalists welcomed Mr Rind at the press club with traditional ajraks and flower garlands. Among those present were press club general secretary Ashiq Hussain Saand, Sheeraz Samoon, Imdad Rahi, Javed Mustafa, Achar Saand, Malik Ehsan Ghouri, Munawar Qureshi, Abdullah Behan, Salman Sheikh, Abid Alvi, Javed Shah and Shah Jahan Samoon.
