Tree Plantation Drive Launched at Govt. N.A College Tando Adam to Mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) In connection with the celebrations of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, a Tree Plantation Drive was launched today at Government New Aligarh Degree College, Tando Adam, under the directives of the College Education Department, Government of Sindh.

As part of this initiative, the college campus was beautified with the plantation of 100 various plants and 100 large decorative pots, while over 20 environmentally friendly neem trees were planted in the college ground to promote a greener and healthier environment.

The campaign was carried out under the supervision of Principal Prof. Yaad Hussain Shaikh and Focal Person Prof. Ahmed Bilal Ghouri, with active participation from college faculty, students, and respected members of the local community.

Addressing the gathering, speakers emphasized that Pakistan is facing serious challenges due to climate change and rising temperatures.

"Plantation is a key solution to mitigate these effects and ensure a sustainable future for the coming generations," they said.

They further urged all citizens, especially students and teachers, to play their role in making Pakistan greener and more livable by actively participating in tree plantation activities as a patriotic duty on this Independence Day.
