City Grammar Higher Secondary School & College Honors High Achieving Students in Grand Ceremony

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) City Grammar Higher Secondary School & College, Shahdadpur, held a grand ceremony to honor students from grades 9 to 12 who secured top positions in academics. A total of 53 selected students were awarded for their exceptional achievements in various fields including 16 in medical, 14 in engineering, 7 in subject specialization, 6 in medical research, 4 in accountancy, 3 in law, 2 in business studies, and 1 in foreign services. Additionally, 18 outstanding students were presented with free scholarship certificates.

Renowned social reformer and former Director General of the Health Department, Dr. Abdul Majeed Chutto, addressed the gathering and expressed his joy at witnessing the talent of the students. He congratulated the students, their parents, and teachers for their collective efforts that helped shape the future of the young achievers. He also reiterated his longstanding dream of establishing a university in Shahdadpur, a promise he made to the local people. He announced that university classes are set to begin this week and emphasized the need for a modern library in the city to support students' preparation for competitive exams.

Dr. Absar Al-Hasnain Memon, the school director, highlighted the gender disparity in education, pointing out that girls are often deprived of further education despite being highly intelligent. He noted that in their school, female students frequently secure top positions. Citing government statistics, he mentioned that in Sanghar district, 65% of students are boys while only 35% are girls. He urged parents, especially in rural areas, to ensure their daughters receive proper education, stating that educating one girl is equivalent to educating an entire family.

Other notable speakers at the event included Jan Shehzad Khan, Abdul Hameed Kaloi, G.R. Qazi, Zulfiqar Khaskheli, and Ghulam Mustafa Nizamani. They all extended heartfelt congratulations to the successful students.
