Religious Processions and Majalis Held in Connection with Muharram

TANDO ADAM(Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Religious processions, mourning gatherings, and majalis continued across Tando Adam in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram, where devotees paid tribute to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.


According to details, on the night of 7th Muharram, Zuljinah processions were taken out under the leadership of several local organizers including Mukhtiar Ali Qambrani, Gul Bahar Khaskheli, Ghulam Murtaza Lakho, Rais Niaz Hussain Mari, Tariq Ranjhani, Raja Samoo, Asif Ali Mari, Muhammad Hanif Panhwar, Mukhtiar Ali Mari, Lala Sanwan Manghar, Kamil Raza Mari, Gudi Manghar and Shakeel Manghar. The processions reached the central Imambargah Bada Pul, where a Majlis-e-Aza was held.


The gathering was addressed by renowned scholar Allama Mubashir Mehdi, who highlighted the teachings and sacrifices of Karbala.


Separately, another Ashra Majlis was held at Azakhana Zahra (SA), which was addressed by Allama Wali Muhammad Chandio.


Following the majalis, a central mourning procession was taken out under the supervision of Anjuman Safina-e-Ahl-e-Bait patron Rais Habib Khan Marri and Akbar Hussain Chughtai. The procession passed through traditional routes including Satti Pirh, Jaman Shah, Ali Shah, Haji Shah, Chanhia Pirh and Mangharan pirh, before concluding at the Markazi Imambargah.


Participants performed traditional mourning rituals including chest-beating (matam), recitation of nohas, and other expressions of grief. Various local Anjumans also organized separate noha recitation programmes across different parts of the city.


It was further announced that on 7th Muharram day and 8th Muharram night, additional Zuljinah processions and mourning activities will be held under the supervision of several organizers including Haji Kandero Chanhio, Mashooq Ali Khaskheli, Rais Ashiq Hussain Mari, Dhani Bux Chanhio, Syed Ismail Shah, Ghulam Abbas Bozdar, Manzoor Kori, Muhammad Hashim Lohar, Shaukat Ali Chanhio, Asghar Punjabi, Asif Ali Mari, Mumtaz Ali Khaskheli, Ejaz Ali Khaskheli, Ejaz Ali Subhpoto, Waseem Khaskheli, Owais Ali Marri, Haji Ahmed Ali Chakrani, Muzafar Ali Chanhio, Syed Waleen Abbas Shah, Zahid Ali Khaskheli, Taha Abbas Hashmi and Raja Khaskheli.


The district administration has made strict security arrangements for the processions, while volunteers from various organizations are also actively assisting to ensure peaceful conduct of all events.
