Muharram Processions Held in Tando Adam to Pay Tribute to Martyrs of Karbala
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Religious gatherings and mourning processions continued in Tando Adam as people paid tribute to Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala for their sacrifices in the way of Islam.
The city echoed with chants of “Ya Hussain” as various Imambargahs organised Majalis-e-Aza and mourning processions during the first days of Muharram.
According to reports, on the night of 6th Muharram, Zuljinah processions were taken out from different Imambargahs, including those organised by Lakhadino Satti, Rais Rasool Bakhsh Mari, Hamzo Burdi, Sajjad alias Sajo Mangnehar, Zanwar Imran Baig Karbalai, Zanwar Abdul Latif Panhwar, Abdul Rasheed Dogar and Muzaffar Hussain Chanhiyon.
The processions reached the Markazi Imambargah, where a Majlis-e-Aza was held. Addressing the gathering, Allama Mubashir Mehdi highlighted the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.
A separate Ashra Majlis was held at Azakhana Zahra (SA), where Allama Wali Muhammad Chandio delivered a religious speech. Later, the central mourning procession was taken out under the supervision of Anjuman Safeena Ahle Bait, led by Rais Habib Khan Mari and Akbar Hussain Chughtai.
The procession passed through traditional routes, including Sattiyan jo Pirh, Juman Shah, Ali Shah , Haji Shah , Chanhiyon jo Pirh and Manganhar jo Pirh before concluding at the central Imambargah.
During the procession, mourners performed traditional mourning rituals, including chest beating, zanjeer zani and other forms of expression of grief, while various mourning organisations presented Nauhas.
Further mourning programmes and Zuljanah processions are scheduled to be held in the coming days. The administration has made strict security arrangements, while volunteers of different organisations are also assisting during the Muharram events.
