Tando Adam: Peaceful Rally Marks Commemoration of Jannat-al-Baqi Demolition, Calls for Reconstruction

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A peaceful rally was organized from Barghaah Dar-e- Abbas to the Tando Adam Press Club to mark the observance of the demolition of Jannat al-Baqi, attracting a large number of citizens and religious leaders. Prominent participants included Syed Ghulam Abbas Shah, Syed Riyasat Ali Shah, Syed Ayaz Ali Shah, Syed Karam Ali Shah, Murtaza Lakho, Khair Muhammad Bhughio, and Allama Jameel Haider.

Participants carried banners and placards highlighting the historical and religious significance of Jannat al-Baqi and demanding its respectful restoration. The rally proceeded along designated routes and culminated at the Press Club, where speakers addressed the gathering.

In their addresses, the speakers emphasized that Jannat al-Baqi is a sacred site where the Ahl al-Bayt are buried and holds profound spiritual and emotional significance, particularly for Twelver Shia Muslims. They described the demolition of this historic cemetery as a tragic event that deeply hurt the religious sentiments of Shia Muslims worldwide.

The speakers highlighted that the revered figures buried in Jannat al-Baqi include Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (SA), Imam Hasan (AS), Imam Zain al-Abidin (AS), Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS), and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (AS), making the site uniquely sacred.

They urged the Government of Saudi Arabia to recognize the historical, religious, and spiritual importance of Jannat al-Baqi and undertake respectful reconstruction and symbolic preservation measures. Such actions, they stressed, would honor the sentiments of millions of Muslims globally and safeguard this invaluable Islamic heritage.
