Wife Protests Alleged Domestic Violence, Seeks Justice
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A woman from Mewar Colony in Tando Adam, Sitara Khoso, along with her mother, staged a protest at the Tando Adam Press Club against alleged physical and mental abuse by her husband, Abdul Jabbar Khoso, and his mother-in-law.
Sitara Khoso told journalists that her husband had subjected her to mental torture, her three children had died, and she had been forcibly evicted from her home. She said she was now barred from returning to her residence, and her husband was attempting to compel her into a divorce.
Despite keeping her daughters with her and observing religious practices, she claimed that her husband and mother-in-law refused to make any decisions regarding her situation. She further alleged that her mother-in-law threatened to harm her and her family if the police were informed.
Sitara Khoso added that she had been living with relatives for the past nine months, and her household expenses had been stopped for the last four months.
She appealed to senior authorities to ensure justice for her and her family and to protect them from further danger.
