Tando Adam Bar polls: Sheikh Javed elected general secretary

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Sheikh Javed has been elected General Secretary of the Tando Adam Bar Association after securing 44 votes in the latest bar elections, according to official results announced on Friday.

His opponent, Imran Basheer, received 34 votes in the contest for the post.

Meanwhile, several key office-bearer positions, including that of Bar President, had already been decided unopposed prior to the polling. Advocate Abdullah Khattak was elected President without contest, while Advocate Ashraf Panhor secured the position of Vice President unopposed, along with other candidates for various offices.

The elections concluded peacefully, with members expressing hope that the newly elected leadership would work for the welfare of the legal community and address professional issues facing lawyers in the region.
