PMA Sindh Condemns ‘False FIR’ Against Lady Doctors in Tando Adam

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh and its Tando Adam branch have strongly condemned the registration of what they described as a false FIR against lady doctors and hospital staff, terming it an unacceptable act of harassment against medical professionals.

Addressing a press conference at the Tando Adam Press Club, PMA Sindh President Dr. Basheer Khaskheli, Dental Association Sanghar President Dr. Sadiq Baloch, Dr. Shagufta Memon, Dr. Khursheed Channa, Dr. Abdul Hameed Ghori, and Dr. Shamshad Kamboh said that a man named Mohabbat Mari had lodged an FIR at the Tando Adam City Police Station. The complaint accused Dr. Khursheed Channa, Dr. Shagufta, Dr. Sameera, Dr. Shoaib Memon, and staff of the Mark Hospital of allegedly “losing” one of a pair of newborn twins — an allegation the PMA leaders rejected as baseless and fabricated.

“Doctors are healers, not criminals,” said the PMA representatives. “It is extremely unfortunate and condemnable to target those who have dedicated their lives to serving humanity through false accusations.”

They demanded the immediate withdrawal of the FIR and announced a two-hour token strike starting tomorrow, stating that the next phase of protest would be decided later.

The PMA leaders further warned that such false and harassing actions against medical professionals could have serious repercussions and harm public healthcare services.

They also expressed solidarity with Dr. Ali Akbar Dahri, Medical Superintendent of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Hyderabad, and other doctors facing similar false cases, demanding that all such FIRs be quashed immediately.
