Tando Adam: Mystery of Lahore Driver’s Killing Unfolds as Body Recovered and Handed Over to Family

Sanghar(Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The mystery surrounding the killing of a Lahore-based rent-a-car driver has unfolded further after police recovered his body from a house in the Model Town area of Tando Adam and later handed it over to the family following post-mortem formalities.

According to police and local sources, a joint operation by Tando Adam and Lahore police led to the recovery of the body of 30-year-old Fayyaz Masih, a resident of Lahore, from a rented bungalow within the limits of Tando Adam City Police Station. The body, reportedly buried for nearly two months, was exhumed after the arrest and disclosure of suspects during investigation.

The remains were shifted to Taluka Hospital Tando Adam, where medico-legal formalities were completed. Police officials said the victim’s hands and feet were found tied, while his neck appeared broken, indicating that he was subjected to severe torture prior to his killing.

After completion of post-mortem formalities in Tando Adam, the body was handed over to the legal heirs, who later departed for Lahore with the remains for burial arrangements.

Following the recovery, the victim’s family approached the court of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate-I, Waqas Ahmed Qureshi, seeking permission to transport the body to Lahore for post-mortem examination.

Speaking to media, the victim’s cousin Sani Rafique Masih said Fayyaz Masih had left Lahore on February 9 with a rented vehicle and went missing shortly afterwards. A missing person report was lodged at Nushter Police Station, Lahore.

He said that during the investigation, several suspects were detained, whose disclosures led to the recovery of the body from Tando Adam. “Our family has suffered a grave injustice. We demand that all those involved in this brutal murder be arrested and brought to justice,” he said.

Police sources confirmed that the case is registered at Nushter Police Station, Lahore. They added that the investigation has so far led to the arrest of a suspect identified as Shah Imam from Lahore and the victim’s father-in-law from Tando Adam. The recovery of the body was made following information provided during interrogation.
