Women, children protest alleged land grab in Tando Adam

Women and children belonging to the Keeria community staged a protest outside the Tando Adam Press Club on Monday against the alleged illegal occupation of 70 acres of agricultural land near the village of Sachoo Saand.

According to the protesters, armed men, allegedly backed by influential individuals, have taken control of agricultural land owned by Abdul Ghafoor Keerio, situated in Deh Dasori, Tando Allahyar taluka. They claimed that the occupants have stationed armed guards on the land, preventing the rightful owners from accessing it.

Speaking on the occasion, Hakeema Keerio, Sakina Keerio, Saran Siddique Keerio, Muhammad Khan Keerio and others said they had approached the police several times but no action had been taken so far. They expressed fears for their lives, alleging threats from the armed men involved in the occupation.

The protesters demanded that higher authorities intervene immediately, ensure the removal of the illegal occupants from the land, and provide protection and justice to the affected family.
