Teenager Dies Allegedly Due to Doctor’s Negligence in Tando Adam; Family Stages Protest

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Sand) A 15-year-old boy reportedly died in Tando Adam on Monday evening after allegedly being administered a wrong injection by a doctor at a private clinic, sparking protests by the victim’s family and relatives.

According to police and local sources, Muhammad Asad, son of Muhammad Asif Magsi, a resident of Haji Ismail Magsi village, was taken to a private clinic near Latif Gate on Jamun Shah Road for treatment of a mild fever. The boy’s condition reportedly deteriorated soon after he was given an injection by the doctor.

Family members rushed the boy to another private hospital in the city, but he succumbed to his condition on the way.

Following the incident, relatives of the deceased, including Ali Akbar Magsi, Mir Muhammad Magsi, and others, placed the body on Hyderabad Road and staged a protest demonstration. Later, they continued their protest outside the City Police Station, demanding action against the doctor responsible.

Speaking to local reporters, the protesters alleged that the doctor’s negligence caused the boy’s death, adding that despite his worsening condition, the doctor advised them to take him to a bigger hospital instead of providing immediate care.

Police shifted the body to the Taluka Hospital for post-mortem, but the family refused to allow the autopsy. After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to the heirs, who took it to their native village near Bhiria Town for burial.

As of the filing of this report, no FIR had been registered in connection with the incident.
