Couple seeks protection after court marriage

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A young couple from Jhol has appealed for protection, alleging threats to their lives following a court marriage.

According to reports, Malooki Bhel, daughter of Gordhan Bhel from village Bachayo Faqir, solemnised a court marriage with Dodo Bhel, son of Kamoon Bhel. Soon after, the couple appeared at the Tando Adam Press Club, where Malooki told reporters that her family had been attempting to marry her off against her will.

“I married Dodo out of my free will and consent in court, but my relatives have turned hostile and are continuously threatening to kill us. We are forced to live in fear and uncertainty,” she said.

The couple has urged the authorities to provide them protection and ensure justice.
