Minor girl allegedly assaulted, suspect arrested

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Police on Sunday registered a case after a seven-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to sexual assault in the Chanhia Para neighbourhood of Tando Adam.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Saud Dero, lured the minor, Ayesha, daughter of Bilawal Sheikh, to a secluded place where he allegedly assaulted her. On hearing the child’s cries, residents of the area rushed to the spot, forcing the accused to flee.

The victim’s family later approached the City Police Station, which issued a medical referral and sent the girl to Taluka Hospital for examination.

On the complaint of the child’s father, police registered an FIR and arrested the suspect, Saud Dero. Officials said further investigation was under way.
