Tando Adam: College resumes bus service for female students

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Government Girls Degree College Tando Adam has resumed its long-stalled bus service to facilitate female students with pick-and-drop transportation across the city. The service was inaugurated by the former principal, Madam Kausar Parveen Laghari, during a brief ceremony held at the college premises.

Speaking to the media, the current principal, Prof. Fatima Sindhu, said the bus had been lying non-functional for several years due to a lack of funds. “We have now managed to carry out the necessary servicing and technical repairs, enabling the bus to provide safe transport to students from different points of the city,” she said.

Prof. Sindhu added that over the past year, the college had undergone significant improvements, including the renovation of classrooms, laboratories, and library facilities, as well as upgrades to the electricity and solar power systems. “We are focused on enhancing the learning environment for our students. Though some funding gaps remain, we have already approached the higher authorities. We are confident that soon our college will be counted among the model institutions of the division,” she noted.
