Family of slain youth protests against police inaction
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The family of a youth,
allegedly murdered four months ago, staged a protest outside the local press
club on Thursday, accusing police of siding with the suspects and failing to
provide justice.
According to the family, Dilshad Malokhani, a 20-year-old resident of Al-Madina Colony, was killed four months ago over a matrimonial dispute. His father, Gul Sher Malokhani, along with Ali Sher Malokhani and other relatives, alleged that the accused identified as Abdul Samad Malokhani, Abdul Majeed Malokhani, and two unidentified accomplices were nominated in the FIR registered at B-Section police station.
They said that despite a court-ordered exhumation and post-mortem, police had neither completed the investigation nor arrested all the accused. “The police are biased and have aligned themselves with the suspects, taking money from the opposing party to bury our case,” the protesters alleged.
They demanded higher authorities to ensure a fair investigation, arrest the culprits, and submit the challan in court. Otherwise, they warned, their protest movement would be intensified.
