DC Sanghar Reviews Anti-Polio Campaign in Sinjhoro

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Sarah Javed, visited various centres in Taluka Sinjhoro on Tuesday to review the ongoing anti-polio campaign. She inspected the performance of field teams, administered polio drops to children, and distributed juices and sweets among them. Assistant Commissioner Sinjhoro, Javeria Ashraf, accompanied her during the visit.

The deputy commissioner said that effective monitoring of the campaign was being carried out. Transit points had been established at all entry and exit routes of the district to ensure vaccination of children arriving from other areas, she added.

Ms Javed urged parents to cooperate with health teams by ensuring their children receive polio drops during every campaign, stressing that protection from this crippling disease was essential for a healthy and secure future.

During her visit, she also inspected several centres in Sinjhoro and directed UC Medical Officers and health officials to maintain the cold chain of vaccines and strictly monitor all teams so that no child was left unvaccinated. Meanwhile, all assistant commissioners of the district also visited their respective areas to assess the campaign in the field.
