Chief Justice inaugurates new judicial complex in Sanghar

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed Judicial Complex/S Civil Court Sanghar, comprising six court buildings.


The inauguration ceremony was attended by Justice Faisal Agha, Sindh High Court Registrar Suhail Ahmed Laghari, District and Sessions Judge Sanghar Akhtar Anwar Khokhar, Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed, SSP Sanghar Abid Ali Baloch, Sindh Bar Council member Nand Kumar Goklani, Sher Muhammad Wassan, President Sanghar Bar Muhammad Sharif Misrani, General Secretary Ashraf Rehmani, Information Secretary Qazafi Tanoli, office-bearers of taluka bar associations, former Mirpurkhas Bar president Advocate Shaukat Ali Rahmoon, a large number of lawyers, and officers of various departments.


Addressing the gathering, Chief Justice said that in line with the Supreme Court’s ruling, oil and gas royalties must be distributed fairly, and any pending petitions in this regard could be re-heard to ensure that every stakeholder received their rightful share.


He announced the establishment of an e-library in Sanghar to facilitate lawyers and assist in resolving public issues. He further stated that efforts would be made to set up camp offices of the Labour Court, Anti-Encroachment Tribunal, and Banking Court in Sanghar, though the creation of new courts lay within the purview of the government.


Justice Ghaffar also informed participants that a notification would be issued next week bringing Tando Adam, Shahdadpur, Sinjhoro, and Jam Nawaz Ali talukas under the jurisdiction of the Mirpurkhas bench of the Sindh High Court. While old cases would continue at their current venues, new cases would be heard in Mirpurkhas.


He added that a post office would be established within the new court building and that the feasibility of constructing lawyers’ chambers and a canteen would also be reviewed.


On the occasion, Sindh Bar Council member Nand Kumar Goklani and district bar president Muhammad Sharif Misrani also addressed the ceremony, highlighting key issues faced by the legal fraternity in Sanghar
