Modern Model Police Station Inaugurated in Sanghar

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Shaheed Benazirabad Range, Captain (R) Parvez Ahmed Chandio, formally inaugurated a newly constructed, state-of-the-art Model Police Station in Sanghar on Thursday.
A smartly turned-out contingent of police officers presented a guard of honour to the DIGP upon his arrival. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanghar, Ghulam Nabi Keerio, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Long Khan Shar warmly welcomed the chief guest.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of distinguished citizens, social and political figures, government officials, and members of the media.
Following the formal ribbon-cutting, DIGP Chandio toured the facility and reviewed its modern infrastructure and services. The model police station is equipped with a reception desk, waiting area, separate help desks for women and children, a CCTV monitoring room, an IT lab, and other essential facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, DIGP Chandio stated that the construction of the model police station was part of the Inspector General of Police Sindh’s vision to modernize policing practices and enhance public service. He emphasized that such facilities are designed to bridge the gap between the police and the public by fostering mutual trust and providing timely justice.
He further instructed the stationed officers and personnel to carry out their duties with integrity, professionalism, and courtesy so that citizens feel safe and respected when visiting police stations.
In conclusion, DIGP Chandio reiterated the Sindh Police’s commitment to public service, stating that initiatives like the model police station will go a long way in strengthening public confidence in the police force.
