Modi Wants to Become the Butcher of the Indus Civilization: Bilawal
New York (Monitoring Desk): Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Head of Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that Modi is a copy of Netanyahu — both are extremists who seek to spread hatred. Modi was the butcher of Gujarat, has become the butcher of Kashmir, and now wants to become the butcher of the Indus civilization by stopping water flow. Blocking water is a violation of international law, and we will not allow water to be used as a weapon. The international community must act before the situation worsens.
Speaking at a press conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Bilawal said that Pakistan wants peace with India, but not on preconditions. Dialogue is the only way to achieve peace, and it can only be achieved through negotiations and diplomacy.
He said that India, without any investigation or evidence, blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered an investigation. India violated border limits and targeted innocent civilians through aggression. India is also demolishing mosques and is involved in terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bilawal emphasized that Pakistan strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and has paid a heavy price in the war against it — including the martyrdom of his own mother at the hands of terrorists. Terrorism should not be used as a political tool.
He said recent conflicts show how quickly tensions can escalate, and nuclear-armed nations reached the brink of war. However, the U.S. President and global powers played an important role in securing a ceasefire. India’s actions pose a serious threat to regional peace, and the unresolved Kashmir issue is the root of the conflict.
He alleged that India used Israeli drones in its attacks, which is condemnable. Referring to India’s violation of the Indus Waters Treaty, he questioned, “What would the world’s reaction be if someone’s lifeline was cut off?”
Bilawal said that India is violating international law just like Israel and reiterated that Pakistan will not allow water to be used as a weapon. He stressed there is no military solution to the Kashmir dispute — only dialogue is the answer.
He added that the Modi government is involved in serious human rights violations and that Pakistan has a long list of grievances against India. India continues to issue anti-Pakistan statements and is now trying to impose a new set of rules in the region.
He stated that Modi looks like Netanyahu, and there are striking similarities between the actions of India and Israel. Both are extremist leaders spreading hate and becoming obstacles to peace in their respective regions.
Bilawal urged the international community to take notice of Indian aggression. He warned that if timely action is not taken, the consequences could threaten global peace. The world must stop the unilateral and aggressive policies of India and Israel.
In response to a question, he said that talks and cooperation are essential to eliminate terrorism. He accused the Indian government of using terrorism to malign Muslims. He said India is attempting to alter the demographic structure in occupied Kashmir and that networks funded by India are involved in violence in Pakistan — and Pakistan has already presented evidence of this to the world.
He concluded by saying that Pakistan has economic cooperation agreements with both the United States and China, and that former U.S. President Donald Trump had expressed interest in a comprehensive trade agreement with Pakistan.
