Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) information secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party District Sanghar Shakeel Abned Mari has said that the PPP has always opposed anti-Sindh projects, specifically mentioning concerns over the IRSA amendment plan. During a press conference in Press Club Tando Adam, He explained that a resolution was passed unanimously in the Sindh Assembly regarding these concerns. Mari highlighted that the PPP has historically fought for the rights of Sindh, recalling how Benazir Bhutto organized protests against similar anti-Sindh projects like the Kalabagh dam.


He praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for demonstrating political acumen by inviting all parties to dialogue in the National Assembly. Mari also mentioned the PPP's initiative to provide solar panels to 200,000 registered beneficiaries through the Benazir Income Support Program, as well as efforts to assist flood victims in rebuilding homes. Regarding the Rohri Canal issue, he stated that a committee led by the Deputy Commissioner of Sanghar has been formed to support the affected individuals until they can return to their homes. Other party leaders, including Imran Dhamrah, Akhtar Hussain Zardari, Akhter Nizamani, Sajid Jaffri, Mir Murtaza Dahru and Achar Saand were also present at the event.
