School Timings Revised in Sanghar Amid Heatwave

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed has announced an immediate change in the working hours of all public and private educational institutions across Sanghar in view of the prevailing intense heat and heatwave conditions in the district.

According to an official notification, the decision was taken in light of the heatwave alert issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, recommendations from the district education officer, and a request submitted by the Primary School Teachers Association Sanghar.

Under the revised schedule, schools across the district will operate from 7:30am to 12 noon from Monday to Thursday, while Friday timings will remain from 7:30am to 11:30am. Second shifts in double-shift schools will function from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

The deputy commissioner directed all educational institutions to conduct morning assemblies in shaded areas, ensure the availability of cold drinking water for students, maintain first-aid facilities, and make appropriate arrangements to protect students from extreme heat during dispersal hours.

She emphasised that the health and safety of students and teaching staff remained the administration’s top priority and instructed all institutions to strictly comply with the issued directives.
