Donkey Cart Protest Held in Tando Adam Against Rising Fuel Prices

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) In a unique protest against the recent increase in petroleum prices, residents of village Qabool Shah in Tando Adam staged a demonstration by riding donkey carts and chanting slogans against the government.

According to reports, the protest was led by local figures including Mola Bux Khaskheli, Krishan Mal, Dada Hussain, Qari Shaukat, and Balam Bheel. Participants used donkey carts to highlight the hardships faced by the common man due to escalating fuel costs.

During the demonstration, protesters raised strong slogans against the hike in petrol prices. Addressing the gathering, the leaders termed the increase as “petrol bomb” on the public, calling it an ظلم on poor and working-class citizens already burdened by inflation.

They expressed concern that the latest hike would trigger further inflation, making it even more difficult for daily wage earners to survive. The speakers claimed that fuel prices have not been increased in many other countries and questioned the justification for the hike in Pakistan.

They further alleged that the increase was not due to global conflicts but was implemented under pressure from the IMF. The protesters demanded that the government reduce its expenditures and provide relief to the public by lowering fuel prices.
