Fire-walking ritual held in Tando Adam to mark martyrdom of Imam Moosa Kazim (AS)

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A fire-walking mourning ritual was organised at Haji Shah Karbala Mualla in Tando Adam to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (AS).

The event was held under the patronage of Zanwar Rais Zahid Hussain Mari. For the ritual, a trench measuring approximately 12 feet in length and two-and-a-half feet in width was prepared, in which around 50 maunds of firewood were burnt to produce glowing embers.

Following special prayers, the ritual commenced under the leadership of Syed Qaiser Hussain Shah, with mourners walking barefoot over the embers as an expression of devotion and grief. The atmosphere resonated with chants of “Ya Hussain (AS)” and “Ya Moosa Kazim (AS)” as a large number of devotees participated with religious fervour.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Mari said that the fire-walking ritual was organised for the first time in Tando Adam in connection with the martyrdom of Imam Moosa Kazim (AS) and would be continued in the coming years. He said the sacrifices of the Ahl-e-Bait (AS) symbolised patience, perseverance and the struggle for truth and justice.

The event concluded with special prayers for peace, security and prosperity in Pakistan and across the world, as well as for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
