Hepatitis screening of police personnel continues in Sanghar
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) On the directives of the Inspector General of Sindh Police, hepatitis screening of police personnel is underway across Sanghar district under the supervision of SSP Sanghar Abid Baloch and District Health Officer Dr Daulat Jamali.
As part of the campaign, a hepatitis screening camp was set up at the DSP Office in Tando Adam. The camp was supervised by DSP Tando Adam Mukhtiar Memon and Medical Superintendent of Taluka Hospital Tando Adam, Dr Syed Fazal Mahmood Shah.
Medical staff, including Saleem Baladi, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and Waseem Khaskheli, screened a total of 278 police personnel. According to the screening results, five personnel tested positive for hepatitis B, while 36 were found positive for hepatitis C.
The affected personnel have been formally referred, along with their names and belt numbers, for further medical evaluation and treatment. Officials said the initiative aims to ensure early diagnosis and timely treatment, emphasising that the health and wellbeing of police personnel remains a top priority.
