PPP Cultural Wing holds meeting in Sanghar ahead of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Cultural Wing, Sanghar district held an important meeting to ensure public participation in the 18th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and to further organise and strengthen the party’s cultural wing in the district.


The meeting was chaired by district president of the PPP Cultural Wing, Abdul Sattar Khaskhali and attended by senior vice-president Ghulam Muhammad Saand, Bhai Khan Laghari, Noor Adil Panhwar, Aijaz Junejo, Muhammad Khan Laghari, Abdul Sattar Bhughio, Haji Qurban Laghari, Shah Nawaz Khoso, Amir Hussain, Ghulam Rasool, Mir Hussain Khoso and other party leaders.


Participants unanimously decided to ensure organised and large-scale participation from Sanghar district in Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary. It was also resolved that a series of meetings would be held at taluka and city levels from January 2 to further organise the PPP Cultural Wing across the district.


The meeting also decided to launch a special outreach campaign to engage poets, writers, artists and journalists and encourage them to become part of the PPP Cultural Wing.


Addressing the meeting, Abdul Sattar Khaskhali, Ghulam Muhammad Saand, Bhai Khan Laghari and Noor Adil Panhwar said Benazir Bhutto had made unparalleled sacrifices for the restoration of democracy and the protection of people’s rights, ultimately laying down her life in the struggle. They said she consistently raised her voice for the oppressed and marginalised segments of society.


The leaders expressed confidence that thousands of people from Sanghar district would attend the death anniversary to pay rich tribute to the slain leader.
