SAFCO and Heritage Foundation Partner for Inclusive Development in Sindh
HYDERABAD — In a landmark partnership aimed at promoting inclusive development across Sindh, SAFCO Microfinance Company and the Heritage Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, which was signed at a hotel in Karachi, will focus on poverty alleviation, creating sustainable livelihoods, and implementing effective climate solutions.
The collaboration will provide vulnerable families in areas where the Heritage Foundation works with essential financial facilities to help empower them socially and economically. The partnership will also encourage the growth of small and medium enterprises in rural and semi-urban areas and advance climate-resilient, low-cost housing projects with vital sanitation facilities.
Dr. Suleman G. Abro, CEO of SAFCO Microfinance Company, stated that the partnership would significantly benefit impoverished families by providing them with knowledge, business training, and financial assistance. SAFCO Managing Director Syed Sajjad Ali Shah highlighted that the agreement aligns with the company's core mission of alleviating the social hardships of low-income families.
Yasmin Lari, CEO of the Heritage Foundation, commented that the agreement would further strengthen her organization's commitment to empowering rural populations, creating employment opportunities, and promoting environmentally friendly activities.
Zubair Soomro, a prominent figure in the financial sector, was also in attendance. The alliance is set to combine the strengths of both organizations to create lasting positive change at the grassroots level throughout the Sindh region.
