International Disability Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Shahdadpur

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) International Disability Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Shahdadpur. Sindh Green Foundation (SGF) and the Government Special Education & Rehabilitation Center, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, joined hands to celebrate International Disability Day in Shahdadpur, District Sanghar, Sindh, Pakistan. The event was marked with a seminar held at the Special Education & Rehabilitation Center, followed by an awareness walk from the center to the Press Club Shahdadpur.

The awareness walk was attended by Assistant Commissioner Shahdadpur, Mr. Qamar Din Rahpoto, Executive Director SGF, Mr. Noor Muhammad Mangi, Vice Principal Government Special Education & Rehabilitation Center Mr. Gulzar Ahmed, President Press Club Mr. Mehdi Hassan Pahwar, Well-Renowned Human Rights Activist Ms. Rafia Gullani, Prominent Education Mr. Haroon Khaskhali, Representatives of Municipal School Mr. Rasool Bux Sahto along with representatives from civil society, media, youth groups, and other departments. The walk featured various slogans displayed to promote inclusivity and accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed annually on December 3 to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities. This year's theme, "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future," highlights the importance of empowering persons with disabilities to take leadership roles in creating a more inclusive and sustainable world.

The joint celebration by SGF, Social Justice Forum and the Government Special Education & Rehabilitation Center demonstrates their commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for persons with disabilities in Shahdadpur.
