Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University visited Degree College Tando Adam

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, Engineer Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah, highlighted the urgent need to bridge Pakistan’s educational gap with other countries. Addressing a ceremony at Government New Aligarh Postgraduate College, he expressed concern over the lag in educational standards and emphasized modernizing teaching methodologies based on scientific advancements. He affirmed that no compromises would be tolerated in education.

The event marked the announcement of the BS Chemistry program at the college, a significant step for students of Tando Adam and surrounding areas. Dr. Shah expressed delight in providing students the opportunity to pursue higher education locally, removing the need to travel to distant universities. Admissions for the program will open soon, and classes are expected to commence shortly.

“This is a transformative initiative for Tando Adam,” said Dr. Shah, encouraging students to work hard in the field of chemistry and aim for international opportunities to bring pride to Sindh and Pakistan.

Dr. Shah assured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the success of the BS Chemistry program and that any lapses in quality or progress would not be overlooked. He emphasized the program's potential to positively impact the academic and professional future of students in the region.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Regional Director of Colleges Dr. Saifullah Joyo, Dean of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Salman Memon, Dean of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Liaqat Ali Zardari, Inspector of Colleges Kashif Noorani, Principal of Government New Aligarh Postgraduate College Prof. Muhammad Mubeen Wassan, and Principal of Government Girls Degree College Tando Adam Prof. Fatima Sindhu.

The attendees were warmly welcomed by the faculty and students with traditional Sindhi Ajraks. The guests also planted trees and visited the college’s laboratories and classrooms to assess the facilities.
