Additional IG CTD Visits Sanghar Over Mysterious Death of Journalist Khawar Hussain

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A high-level police committee, constituted on the directives of Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, is investigating the mysterious death of journalist Khawar Hussain. The committee, headed by Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Azad Khan, visited Sanghar to review the case progress and guide local investigators.

During his visit, Additional IG Azad Khan met with SSP Sanghar Abid Ali Baloch and was briefed on the investigations carried out so far. He also inspected the crime scene and thoroughly examined the vehicle used by the late journalist.

Addressing the media later at the SSP office, accompanied by DIG Shaheed Benazirabad Faisal Bashir Memon and SSP Sanghar, Azad Khan stated that the local police’s findings had been carefully assessed. He confirmed that a senior-level post-mortem examination of the journalist had been conducted.

From the crime scene, police recovered a pistol, a bullet casing, a coin, and the firearm’s license. However, the mobile phone found at the site had already been reset, raising further questions.
