Islamabad (Web Desk): Important revelations have surfaced in the police investigation regarding the murder of TikTok star Sana Yousaf in Islamabad. The District and Sessions Court has sent the prime suspect to jail for an identification parade.

The alleged killer, Umar Hayat, was presented before Judicial Magistrate Ahmad Shehzad Gondal in Islamabad, where the police requested physical remand and permission for an identification parade.

The court approved the request and ordered the suspect to be sent to jail.

Meanwhile, police sources have disclosed significant findings about the suspect during the investigation.

According to the police, Umar Hayat traveled from Faisalabad to Islamabad in a rented Fortuner vehicle but failed to pay the rent. After his arrest, the car rental owner approached the authorities to collect payment, only to find the suspect had just a few hundred rupees.

Police further revealed that the suspect falsely portrayed himself as the son of a landlord, while in reality, his father is a retired Grade-16 government employee. On Sana Yousaf’s birthday, the suspect brought a cake and gifts to her residence in Sector G-13, Islamabad. However, Sana refused to meet him. He returned again on June 2.

In his statement, the suspect said that after committing the murder, he booked a bike ride, switched to a taxi, reached the bus terminal, and boarded a bus back to Faisalabad.

It is worth noting that two days earlier, 17-year-old social media influencer Sana Yousaf was shot and killed inside her home in Islamabad. A case was filed against an unknown assailant.

Islamabad police swiftly acted and arrested the suspect, Umar Hayat alias Kaka, from Faisalabad within 24 hours of the murder. A weapon was also recovered from his possession.

A CCTV video of the suspect fleeing the crime scene was instrumental in tracking and apprehending him.
