SUP Holds Torchlight Rally to Mark G.M. Syed’s 121st Birth Anniversary
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Sindh United Party (SUP) organized a torchlight rally to commemorate the 121st birth anniversary of renowned political leader and intellectual, Sain G.M. Syed. The rally began at Latif Gate and concluded in front of the Tando Adam Press Club after passing through various routes.
The rally was led by district leaders Comrade Muhammad Khan Panhwar, Baghi Mujahid Thaheem, Gul Hassan Lakho, Sagar Dehraj, Sarwar Abro, Imdad Chandio, Imran Malokhani, and Raja Malookani.
Addressing the participants, the leaders praised Sain G.M. Syed as a global statesman who dedicated his life to advocating for the rights of Sindh. They highlighted that G.M. Syed spent 40 years in imprisonment, authored more than 40 books, and firmly believed in non-violent politics. Despite his advanced age, he remained committed to his political struggle for the rights of Sindhis.
On this occasion, the speakers expressed their admiration and respect for G.M. Syed’s contributions, emphasizing the significance of January 17 as his birth anniversary. They strongly opposed to construct canals on the Indus River, terming it a conspiracy to dry up Sindh.
The rally concluded with slogans and patriotic songs, reflecting the participants’ dedication to protecting Sindh’s rights and identity.
