ADVANCED TRAINING WOULD BRING A POSITIVE CHANGE TO DEAL WITH UNTOWARD SITUATIONS; DIG DR. MAQSOOD AHMED

A dignified ceremony was held at the Special Security Unit (SSU) Headquarters to honor the 40 commandos who passed-out from the Naval Special Operations Training Centre (NSOTC). This event celebrated the dedication and commitment of the commandos who successfully completed an intensive 8-week Counter Terrorism Course.

DIG Security & Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed addressed the personnel, commending the commandos for their hard work and resilience. “Today, we celebrate not just the completion of rigorous training, but the spirit of these brave individuals who stand ready to protect our nation, advance training delivered to SSU Commandos would bring a positive change in their capabilities to deal with untoward situations,” he stated.

During the ceremony, the DIG also pinned badges onto the commandos, symbolizing their successful course completion. Additionally, he presented shields to the top-performing commandos, recognizing their exceptional achievements and dedication throughout the training.

Commandant SSU Anwar Khetran addressed that overall, more than 400 SSU commandos have acquired this training till date. The commandos, part of the 13th batch to graduate from the NSOTC, received specialized training in critical areas, including close-quarter combat, close quarter combat, room combat, rappelling, and advanced weapon handling.
