Five Killed, Three Women Injured in Bus-Car Collision in Tando Adam

SANGHAR(Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Five people, including a woman and a child, were killed while three women sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a car on Jhool Road in Tando Adam on Sunday.

According to details, the accident occurred when a passenger bus collided head-on with a car carrying residents of village Bilawal Khoso, near Saeedabad. Four occupants of the car, identified as 48-year-old Manoo son of Nanji Kolhi, his 40-year-old wife Neela, Ramo son of Mano Kolhi, and five-year-old Dewal son of Ramo Kolhi, died on the spot. A three-year-old child, identified as Ramo son of Kanyo Kolhi, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Three women, identified as 30-year-old Heri, wife of Ramo Kolhi, 30-year-old Gulali, wife of Veeram Kolhi, and Nisha, daughter of Manoo Kolhi, were seriously injured in the accident.

Following the incident, police shifted the deceased and injured to the Taluka Hospital Tando Adam. After receiving initial medical treatment, the injured women were referred to Hyderabad due to their critical condition.

Police took the passenger bus into custody, while its driver fled the scene. After completion of the necessary legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the heirs. No case had been registered until the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, the heirs of the deceased alleged that the bus was travelling at high speed and collided with the car after moving onto the wrong side of the road while overtaking. Police are investigating the incident.
