Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Chairs Price Control Committee Meeting
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A key meeting of the Price Control Committee was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed. The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, officials from the Bureau of Supply, representatives of the Market Committee, members of the business community, and other relevant officers.
The meeting focused on reviewing the prices of essential commodities and discussed strategies to combat profiteering, hoarding, and the sale of substandard goods. Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed emphasized that providing relief to the public remains the top priority of the district administration. She made it clear that no one will be allowed to exceed the officially fixed prices, and strict implementation of government policies will be ensured.
The DC directed Assistant Commissioners to carry out daily inspections of local markets, with a special focus on monitoring sugar prices. She stressed that strict action must be taken against those involved in hoarding and black marketing of sugar.
It was also decided that the display of official price lists at all shops will be mandatory, and violators will face strict legal consequences. The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens to report any complaints to the district administration for immediate redressal.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Hafeez Yousafzai and Anwar Ali Shaikh from the Bureau of Supply and Price Control.
