Murad Khatoon Maternity Home Tando Adam to Be Made Functional Soon: DC Sanghar
Sanghar Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Sarah Javed, has stated that the district administration is utilizing all available resources to ensure the provision of essential services including healthcare and education. She announced that the newly constructed Murad Khatoon Maternity Home in Tando Adam will be made functional soon, providing residents with access to modern medical facilities close to home.
She made these remarks during her visit to the Murad Khatoon Maternity Home and Taluka Hospital in Tando Adam, where she spoke to the Media. The DC mentioned that arrangements are underway to complete the remaining medical equipment and necessary items, after which the facility will be inaugurated by the Provincial Health Minister. The hospital’s central location aims to make quality healthcare accessible for local residents.
In response to a question regarding illegal encroachments near the hospital, the Deputy Commissioner affirmed that strict legal action will be taken, and no one will be allowed to occupy government land unlawfully.
Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam Hunain Tariq Shahani, added that some financial assistance is needed to fully operationalize the maternity hospital, and suggestions have already been submitted to the DC. He also informed that departments such as gynecology from the Taluka Hospital will be shifted to Murad Khatoon Maternity Home, and issues related to security, furniture, and other logistics will be addressed shortly.
Former Senator Fida Hussain Dero, Medical Superintendent Dr. Fazal Mahmood Shah, Mukhtiarkar Raham Ali Zardari, former Nazim Lala Ayub, Hanif Waryah, Mukhtiar Umrani, and other notable figures were also present during the visit. The Deputy Commissioner inspected various hospital wards, met with patients, and distributed food items among children.
